How to join an Eaglercraft server

Joining a browser Minecraft server takes seconds. Find a server you like above and press Join — we open the matching client with the address ready. If a version does not auto-connect, copy the wss:// address, open the game and go to Multiplayer → Direct Connect, paste it, and press Join Server. Nothing to download either way.

Eaglercraft servers run the same software as regular Minecraft servers with a proxy that translates the browser's WebSocket connection into the standard Minecraft protocol. Most of them accept browser players and the official Java client at the same time.

Can MinePlay create a server for me?

No. MinePlay is a client and a directory, not a host. List your server submits a server that already exists and is already online so other players can find it here — we connect to the address first and reject anything that does not answer. If you just want to play with friends without running a server at all, open a shared world from singleplayer and send them the five-character join code.

What do the stats mean?

  • Players— how many people are online right now, straight from the server's live query response.
  • Ping — round-trip time from our pinger to the server. Lower is smoother; under 60 ms feels instant.
  • Version — the Eaglercraft client version the server accepts. Pick a matching one on the play page; 1.8.8 covers most servers.
