Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

MinePlay ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website and the browser-based game services (the "Services"), and how we handle it.

Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we collect your email address, display name and your Google profile basics. An account is optional — you can play as a guest without one.

Worlds and game data

Singleplayer worlds are stored locally in your browser's storage (IndexedDB / local storage) and never leave your device unless you choose to export them or enable cloud backups. If you enable cloud backups, the world files you back up are stored on our servers tied to your account.

Usage information

We collect basic, privacy-respecting analytics such as page views, browser type and approximate region to operate and improve the Services. We do not sell your personal data.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain and improve the Services
  • To create and manage your account and cloud backups
  • To keep the server list accurate and prevent abuse
  • To respond to support requests
  • To comply with legal obligations

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (such as default game version). You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working.

Your worlds can be deleted by your browser

Because singleplayer worlds live in your browser, clearing site data, switching browsers, using private/incognito mode, or a school IT policy wiping the cache can permanently delete them. We strongly recommend exporting backups as .epk files, or enabling cloud backups.

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.

Third-party servers

Multiplayer servers listed on MinePlay are operated by third parties. When you connect to a server, that server may receive your in-game name and IP address. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party servers.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@mineplay.io.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
